UAE: ADMA-OPCO Selects DNV Software Services for Their Offshore Installations

Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) has chosen DNV Software to deliver asset integrity management software and services covering their fixed and floating offshore installations, pipelines and processing facilities. This significant contract represents an industrial recognition of DNV Software’s Enterprise Risk Management solutions.

Ageing installations and infrastructures are an increasing challenge for the oil and gas industry. Through deployment of new technology the industry can safely and responsibly improve business performance while also enhancing corporate social responsibility.

“This Integrity Management initiative from ADMA-OPCO shows that safe and sustainable business operations are taken seriously, at the same time as the initiative makes the conditions favourable for improved profitability. We look forward to starting the implementation at ADMA-OPCO,” says Are Føllesdal Tjønn, DNV Software Managing Director.

The deliverance is a mix of integrity management software covering areas such as pipelines, structures, topsides, plants and risk-based inspection, together with a risk and KPI dashboard configured for ADMA-OPCO’s needs. The project will also include installation, configuration, training, integration and data loading delivered by DNV Software.

The implementation involves integrating DNV asset integrity management software with ADMA-OPCO’s Maximo, ArcGIS and Document Management systems. In addition it includes an option to integrate ADMA-OPCO’s existing Well Integrity management system into the Enterprise Risk Management portal.

The Middle East region is a key market for DNV Software’s solutions for risk management. The contract with one of the major players in the region is a door opener for DNV Software for further market penetration within the asset integrity management business.

“ADMA-OPCO represents a leading oil and gas operator in the Middle East. We have many years of experience delivering to the integrity management sector and this contract shows that the market appreciates our complete and user-friendly Enterprise Risk Management solutions. We have great confidence in our integrity management strategy,” says Mr Tjønn.

UTC 2017

The subsea industry has, as all other parts of the oil & gas industry, been seriously rattled by the most severe downturn in the hydrocarbon energy era. However, the realization of what hit us and actions to be taken to sustain a healthy and profitable future is still on-going – unfortunately with thousands of colleagues paying the price by losing their job as one of the most severe consequences. At this time, there are signs that we have reached bottom in terms of most industry indicators, but few experts expect a sharp recovery. Many seem to believe that a slow recovery is what the industry needs in order to avoid an unsustainable capacity build-up, as seen in the period after the financial crisis. Considering the uncertainty of what the future will bring, this year’s UTC Program Committee have decided to challenge all of us to present ideas, experiences, technological innovations, business models and execution models for how to shape our subsea future and explain how and why subsea is the future.
UTC welcomes abstracts based on the topics listed below. If selected, please consider writing a paper in addition to the UTC presentation. From 2017, UTC papers will be published in an international database.
