STR Adds New Teledyne and Valeport Products

Subsea Technology & Rentals (STR) continues to grow its rental equipment inventory with the addition of the new automated sound velocity profiling system developed by Teledyne Oceanscience using Valeport’s RapidSV Profiler.

Teledyne’s rapidCAST and Valeport’s SVT Probe, purchased during the recent Ocean Business exhibition in Southampton, will be the latest products to join STR’s range of sensor deployment and handling systems.

The rapidCAST System has the ability to collect and transmit survey data without having to recover the probe on board at the end of each cast. It is also said it improves the targeting accuracy of probes.

Neil Jackson, sales and operations manager at STR, said: “These latest acquisitions are a welcome addition to our extensive inventory of rental equipment enabling us to offer our customers the very latest technology to support their business operations. Neptune Marine Services will be the first customers to use this product on their upcoming project in Australia.”
