NPD Appoints AGR as Its Well and Drilling Specialist Advisor

AGR has been appointed as well and drilling specialist advisor to Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.

AGR will deliver advice to support evaluation of drilling programmes, well design and testing, completions and plugging and abandonment.

The two-year scope of work has the option to be extended for an additional two years for the provision of technical training and technological solutions for data management.

Tore Øian, vice president of AGR’s Well Management business in Norway, said: “This latest Frame Agreement with the NPD is testament to the level of experience and unrivalled expertise that our well management business has to offer. We’re honored to be supporting the Norwegian Government in an official capacity and we look forward to supporting its important work to manage Norway’s hydrocarbon resources.”

The NDP agreement follows several awards to support operators on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, as well as an additional agreement with the NPD.
