Sif Group has secured the EON Humber Gateway contract for the manufacturing of monopiles and transition pieces for the part consisting of 73 wind turbines.

”Sif will manufacture the primary steel for these foundations and Eiffage JV will manufacture the secondary steel,“ wrote sales manager Richard Jongen in an email.

The Humber Gateway wind farm will be located 8km off the Holderness coast, East Riding of Yorkshire with a total installed capacity of up to 219MW, which is enough to power up to 170,000 UK homes.
