Tender for Underwater Mine Detection Apparaus Supply Announced (France)

Mindef/DGA/DT/SCAT/Toulon has invited tenders for the supply of an underwater mine detection apparaus for operation works in Toulon, France.

The multi-acquisition and simulation system (SAAMI) is a tool operated under the expertise of mining conducted within DGA in Brest. Its main functions are the real-time acquisition of underwater indiscretions on all types of ships and the operation of the underwater mines simulation. It consists of two assemblies, consisting of a submerged instrumented sphere, the other on board a laboratory vessel.

These assemblies are connected by a self-supporting cable. To this is added a system positioning of the target vessel.

Tender deadline is June 25 2013.
