Statoil Petroleum AS has awarded a contract to Floatel International for provision of an accommodation and construction support vessel for the Gina Krog Field Development project.
The Gina Krog field is located on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, approximately 250 kilometers west of Stavanger, Norway, in a water depth of 116 meters. The charter period for Gina Krog will commence mid 2016 with a firm hire period of seven months.
In addition Statoil has been granted options to extend the contract both for the period between completion of present contract up to the start of Gina Krog and for the period after completion of Gina Krog.
