Cygnus DIVE Draws Interest at Middle East Event

Cygnus Instruments Ltd enjoyed a good response at the Seatrade Middle East Workboats & Offshore Marine event in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.

Co-exhibiting with Unique System FZE, their long standing distributor, Cygnus demonstrated a range of ultrasonic thickness gauges that use the Cygnus Multiple Echo technique to measure metal thickness through protective coatings to determine wastage or corrosion accurately and quickly. Of particular interest was the Cygnus DIVE, a wrist mountable ultrasonic thickness gauge providing an invaluable free hand whilst performing thickness surveys underwater. Offering flexibility for all situations, there is also a range of options for the Cygnus DIVE such as a Topside Repeater and Video Overlay for the dive monitor screen.

Demonstrated by Graham Haines, Cygnus Sales Director, the key features and benefits were discussed with Albert Harness of Khalifa A Algosaibi Diving Services who visited the stand. Albert Harness said: “We have always been proud to be associated with Cygnus.”

As well as the Cygnus DIVE there was also interest in Cygnus Hatch Sure, an ultrasonic hatch cover leak detector now with a variable output transmitter. Used to perform quick and effective evaluation of cargo hold hatch covers and door seals to determine water leaks and weather tightness.
