LDD Names New Vice President Sales and Marketing

LDD, an Acteon company, has appointed James McGovan as vice president sales and marketing. McGovan will maintain the company’s focus on building and expanding long-term business relationships and providing effective marine foundation solutions.

Working from LDD’s headquarters in Cornwall, UK, McGovan’s appointment is in anticipation of a future period of growth, fuelled by a new capability, which is to be announced. This capability will cement LDD’s position as a marine foundation installation specialist.

Throughout his career, McGovan has focused on marine construction and has amassed extensive experience in oil and gas, marine civil construction and offshore renewables projects, including project management. He has been with LDD since its inception in 2007 as technical sales manager for offshore renewables and special projects.

McGovan, who studied mining engineering at Camborne School of Mines and biology at the University of Portsmouth, takes over from Mark Richards who will continue to provide his experience and support to LDD on sales, contract and commercial management issues.

McGovan said, “It has been great working with Mark for the past four years, and it is an honour to be taking on this important role within LDD. The company is continuing to expand and later this year will be moving to new premises, which is a testament to the energy and drive within the team and our desire to create a global go-to company for marine foundations.”
