ACE Winches Brings in New Faces to Management

Global deck machinery specialist ACE Winches, has appointed strategic management positions across the engineering, sales and support departments to continue the exponential growth and development experienced by the company in recent years.

Leading ACE Winches established Engineering and Project Management Teams are Greg Scott, Engineering Director and David Blane, Project Director.

With over 30 years experience in senior technical roles within the energy sector, Greg brings valuable opportunities to further develop the Engineering Department. He will be responsible for all engineering functions of the business encompassing mechanical engineering, design, drives, systems and controls and research and development allowing the company to offer engineering excellence and continue to meet the demands of our clients demanding advanced technological solutions.

David brings a wealth of knowledge from the service sector and oil and gas industry across a variety of product lines, including subsea. David is a specialist in Project Management and engineering with proven accomplishments of leading new products and technology into the market. David will have responsibility for all project management and support functions, specifically for the Manufacturing and Service divisions.

Graham Thomson, Chief Operating Officer said: “These appointments are paramount in strengthening the execution of ACE Winches’ engineering design and project management process. Already a key focus of the company, these processes will lead to a more efficient delivery model and an overall enhanced experience for our clients.”

Also joining the engineering team is Graham McDonald as Drives, Systems and Controls Manager, recently welcomed back to ACE Winches, Lead Design Engineer for Research and Development, Nishant Nadagouda and Keith Will as the Group Sales Manager for UK and Norway.

Alfie Cheyne, Chief Executive Officer stated: “All recent appointments are fundamental to the growth and strategic development of the business. The changes demonstrate the high level of continued investment the shareholders are prepared to make in order to achieve the long-term vision of ACE Winches going forward.”

Completing the series of key appointments is John Elphinstone, assuming the position of Supply Chain, Systems and IT Manager.
