EMGS Receives Letter of Intent for 3D EM Acquisition in Africa

Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA’s (EMGS), the marine EM market leader, has received a Letter of Intent to award a contract for 1,000 km sq of 3D EM data acquisition, data processing, imaging and integration.

The contract is worth approximately USD 8.3 million, and will be conducted for a client in North-West Africa.

“Based on growing demand from new and existing customers, we have decided to mobilize the vessel BOA Thalassa towards Africa and Norway,” said Roar Bekker, CEO of EMGS.

BOA Thalassa is a purpose-built 3D EM vessel with the capacity to carry 200 receivers. It is equipped with parallel source systems, including winches, cranes and hydraulic feeds.
