Focal Marine & Offshore Gets DP-3 OCV Design Contract
Focal Marine & Offshore has received a Design contract for DP-3 OCV (Offshore Construction Vessel).
The FOCAL 530 design is with LOA of 115m, diesel electric DP-3 propulsion, two offshore cranes, one walk-to-work AHC gangway, and accommodation for 300 person.
The design is with SRtP (Safe Return to Port) feature as required by SPS Code, and all cabins are with natural light as per MLC 2006 requirement. In addition, the design includes ABS crew habitability notation of HAB (WB), and environment-friendly notation of ENVIRO.
High DP capability is achieved by five thrusters, enabling the design to be suitable for operation in deep water of Gulf of Mexico, Brazil, West Africa etc.
