Statoil Gets Offshore Loading Buoys Approval for Gullfaks Field

Gullfaks

Statoil, an international energy company, reported that it has received a consent to use offshore loading buoys on the Gullfaks field.

The consent applies to the installation and operation of the OLS 1 and OLS 2 offshore loading systems at Gullfaks.

Gullfaks is an oil and gas field located on the Norwegian shelf in the North Sea. The field was discovered in 1979 and has been developed using three large Condeep platforms, Gullfaks A, Gullfaks B and Gullfaks C .
