Coretrax Technology Limited, Aberdeen-based oilfield services firm, has won the Great Small Company category at the 2014 Offshore Achievement Awards.

The winner was announced at the annual awards ceremony, organised by The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Aberdeen Section, on Thursday March 20^th at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre with more than 500 energy industry professionals in attendance.

The Great Small Company Award recognises excellence in a small company, including successful creation and growth, clear strategic direction and strong product and service differentiation along with ambitious plans for the future success – both within the UK and internationally.

Coretrax was established in 2008 and offers a wide range of downhole tools and services with applications across the well life cycle, including well bore clean-up and abandonment, to the global oil and gas industry.

This is the second Offshore Achievement Award for the company, which won the New Idea Award in 2012 for the development of its innovative technology, the Inflation Support Tool (IST), which has since been launched to market (late 2013) and is utilised by a number of operators during abandonment applications.
