InterMoor Names HR manager and Business Development Manager

InterMoor UK further expands its management team with two key appointments.

InterMoor, an Acteon company, has appointed Lesley Maxwell as group human resources manager and Nick Knight as business development manager for InterMoor Marine Services Ltd.

Maxwell has more than 20 years of international experience as a senior manager in management consulting and human resources roles across different sectors including oil and gas and will be based in Aberdeen, UK. She brings a wealth of experience in strategic human resources, operational management, project management and leadership and development to InterMoor.

Maxwell holds a master’s degree in human resources management, a postgraduate degree in employment law and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. She is also an accredited coach, trainer and mediator.

Alan Duncan, managing director, InterMoor, said, “Lesley’s expertise will be an invaluable asset to our business as we focus upon expanding our global business footprint whilst maintaining the highest standards across our operational portfolio. She will be responsible for ensuring that the highest standards of HR practice are delivered through a combination of frontline HR operations and strategic HR.”

Knight has been appointed business development manager for InterMoor Marine Services Ltd. Knight, who will also be based in Aberdeen, UK, comes to InterMoor from Viking SeaTech where he was operations supervisor.

Knight has more than 12 years’ experience in marine engineering. Previously a chief petty officer in the Royal Navy, he graduated from the University of Portsmouth, UK, with a foundation degree in mechanical engineering following an apprenticeship in marine mechanical engineering. Departing the Royal Navy in 2011, Knight served in various technical and operational roles in the oil and gas sector, including overseeing several complex deepwater mooring projects.

Duncan Cuthill, general manager, InterMoor Marine Services, said, “Nick’s strong technical background, professional approach and broad understanding of the operational requirements of the mooring sector will enable us to continue to provide a high standard of customer service through improved account management.”

Knight added, “I have been very impressed by the capabilities of the InterMoor organisation and am very much looking forward to using the skills I have developed in an exciting new business development role.”
