Ithaca Extends FPSO BW Athena Contract

BW Offshore has received a contract extension for the FPSO BW Athena with Ithaca Energy.

The primary term of the contract expires in Q2 2015, and Itacha Energy has exercised the option for a secondary term of up to five years. Ithaca Energy has the right to terminate the contract on a rolling 12-month notice.

BW Athena was built in 1994 and converted to an FPSO in 1999.

To remind, BW Offshore signed a contract for the use of the FPSO BW Athena (former BW Carmen) with Ithaca Energy and partners in autumn 2010.

BW Offshore is a leading global provider of floating production services to the oil and gas industry. BW Offshore is the world’s second largest contractor with a fleet of 14 FPSOs and 1 FSO represented in all major oil regions world-wide. The company also operates additional 2 FPSOs.
