Gardline Geosciences Ltd Managing Director Eric Zon took part in Malaysian oil and gas company Petronas Carigali DFAB’s first ever soil investigation health, safety and environment (HSE) contractor conference in Kuala Lumpur in May.

The half-day event, chaired by Mr Zainuddin Kamaruddin, Head of Construction of Petronas Carigali, focused on sharing HSE performance and good practice in offshore geotechnics, with the aim of improving HSE in the supply chain. It was organised by Gardline Geosciences’ sister company Asian Geos, jointly with TL Geotechnics.

Eric Zon said: “Gardline Geosciences regularly carries out offshore and nearshore geotechnical investigations in South East Asia with Asian Geos and is serious about the safety of its people and the environment. By taking the initiative to bring contractors together to share experience and expertise, DFAB is setting the HSE agenda. This conference is sure to make a significant contribution to health and safety practice in offshore geotechnics.”
