GMB Hails Wales’ Tidal Energy Project

GMB, the union for engineering construction and energy workers, commented on the unveiling of the first full-scale tidal energy generator in Ramsey Sound, off St Davids Head, Pembrokeshire in Wales.

Phil Whitehurst, GMB National Officer for Engineering Construction, said: “This project is a very welcome boost for the Welsh economy. It opens up a way forward to generate green and renewable energy using reliable tidal power.
