The purpose of the forum was to show governments the progress and commitment being made by companies to combat climate change and its effects on ecosystems, economic activity and living conditions around the world.

“Eco Wave Power is confident that wave energy is one of the most significant possibilities for emissions reduction and lowering the worldwide pollution levels and the company presented it during the UN Private Sector Forum to world leaders,” said David Leb, The Founder and CEO of the company.

During the Climate Summit, Inna Braverman, Co Founder of Eco Wave Power, personally presented EWP’s technology to The President of France Francois Hollande, the President of Peru Ollanta Humala Tasso, The Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe and the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte, which expressed interest in the possibility of establishing wave energy power plants in their countries.

Braverman also discussed Eco Wave Power’s unique technology with the Mayor of Seoul, Park Won-soon, the Mayor of Bristol, George Ferguson and Private Sector companies.

In addition, EWP had signed the Caring for Climate Business Leadership Criteria on Carbon Pricing as part of this Forum, which establishes commitments to take CO2 pricing into account when selecting and promoting business projects and when reporting and publishing progress in this area in corporate reports and also made a commitment to establish the first in history wave energy power plant in Gibraltar by the end of 2015.

By attending this forum, Eco Wave Power is strengthening its position in climate change related policies and initiatives that reduce the impact on climate, by promoting renewable energy and especially wave energy.

Earlier this year, Eco Wave Power was recognized as “Best Project in Israel” by the Energy Globe Awards, which ran under the patronage of UNESCO and in cooperation with UNEP.
