Petrobangla in Bay of Bengal Seismic

Bangladesh energy ministry has implied Petrobangla’s plans to conduct 2D seismic survey in Bay of Bengal.

As The Independent reports, Petrobangla is set to offer six new shallow and deep-sea blocks for oil and gas exploration in the Bay of Bengal in bidding round 2014.

Petrobangla has already prepared a draft invitation of the bid for high-resolution 2D seismic survey that will take one and a half years to complete.

We could create three deep-sea blocks in the Eastern part of the country as well as three shallow and deep water blocks on the Indian side as per our draft production sharing contract (PSC) model 2014,” a senior official of Petrobangla told The Independent.
