EM-Leader

Norway based provider of marine controlled-source electromagnetic (CSEM) data, Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS), has won a 3D EM data acquisition gig offshore Uruguay.

The contract award is from the BG Group and it’s worth approximately $27 million.

“We are delighted to start working for BG in Uruguay on this survey. This contract provides us with a substantially improved backlog and we look forward to further developing our relationship with this customer,” says Roar Bekker, CEO of EMGS.

The survey is expected to begin around December 15, 2014 and it will be acquired by a 116 meters long EM survey vessel, EM Leader.

According to the company, the survey is anticipated to last approximately three and a half months.
