Statoil has received consent for modifications at Sleipner for connecting a gas pipeline from Gina Krog.

Gina Krog is an oil and gas find, located in blocks 15/5 and 15/6 in the central North Sea. Statoil is the operator of the field, which is situated around 250 kilometres west of Stavanger and 30 kilometres north-west of the Sleipner A facility.

The field is to be developed using a fixed integrated facility. Oil from the field will be exported by ship via a loading buoy, while gas will be transported to Sleipner for processing and onward export through the Gassled system. Production is scheduled to start in early 2017.

Statoil has now received consent from the PSA for modifications to the Sleipner A facility in connection with the pipeline from Gina Krog and for putting these into operation.
