Bowtech Hosts Delegation from Japan

Bowtech Products, a provider of subsea vision systems, welcomed a delegation from Japan to their Aberdeen Headquarters.

The delegation was led by Yoshihiko Ikumura, president of Marimex Japan K.K. and included colleagues from Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) and Nippon Marine Enterprises (NME).

Bowtech sales director Mike Winstanley met Masaya Katagiri, the pilot of the Shinkai 6500, manned submersible with an ocean depth range of 6500m.

The Shinkai 6500 was completed in 1990 and until 2012 it had the greatest depth range of any manned research vehicle in the world.
