Shipbuilding company Lloyd Werft delivered the Ceona Amazon in Bremerhaven where the vessel was officially christened this by her Godmother, Cynthia Huber.


Havyard’s Newbuild Named

Fosnavåg, Norway, witnessed the namig ceremony of Havyard’s newbuild 115 ‘African Inspiration’, with Minister of Finance, Siv Jensen, as its godmother.


Spain: McDermott Christens CSV 108

McDermott International, Inc. christened its Construction Support Vessel 108 (“CSV 108”) at Metalships & Docks shipyard in Vigo, Spain.


COSL Gets New 12-Streamer Seismic Vessel

COSL announced recently that its newly-built 12-streamer seismic vessel “Hai Yang Shi You 721” has been successfully delivered in Shanghai. The vessel will be put into operation after completion of tests for its geophysics equipment.


Island Offshore Takes Delivery of ‘Island Performer’

The Ulstein Verft subsea newbuild, ‘Island Performer’, was delivered to ship owner Island Offshore. The flexible, state-of-the-art RLWI/IMR vessel will serve her first five years for FTO in the Gulf of Mexico.


Cecon Takes Delivery of Cecon Pride from Davie Yards

Cecon has taken delivery of their first vessel Cecon Pride from Davie Yards. The 130 meter long and 28 meter wide multipurpose offshore construction vessel is the first vessel delivered from Davie yards since 1997, and the most sophisticated vessel delivered from a North American shipyard ever.


Hilong Takes Delivery of ‘Hilong 106’ Pipelay Derrick Barge

The Hilong Group, centered in Beijing and Shanghai, has taken ownership of the offshore pipe-lay derrick barge, purchased late last year and formally named “Hilong 106” attesting to Hilong’s expansion into the offshore engineering and services sector.


VIDEO: RV Investigator Delivered to CSIRO (AUS)

Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia’s national science agency, has taken delivery of its new AUS$120 million research vessel RV Investigator in Singapore.


Siem Offshore Christens ISV ‘Siem Moxie’ in Hamburg

Siem Offshore’s, Norwegian marine operator, new installation support vessel was christened “Siem Moxie” at the naming ceremony at the port of Hamburg. E.ON is taking over the patronage of the ship.


‘Rem Pioneer’ Delivered to Rem Offshore

Rem Offshore took delivery of large construction vessel, Rem Pioneer. This is a fifth delivery so far from Kleven in three months. The 117 m long vessel is the largest in Rem’s highly modern offshore fleet, and started working on a chart for Italian based Micoperi Marine Contractors immediately after delivery.


Dolphin Takes Delivery of New Seismic Vessel Sanco Sword

Dolphin Group ASA took delivery of the newly built seismic vessel M/V Sanco Sword, on an initial 5-year Time-Charter agreement with the Norwegian vessel owner Sanco Shipping AS.


Island Offshore Takes Delivery of SCV Island Pride

Island Offshore took delivery of the subsea construction vessel M/V ‘Island Pride’. The vessel was delivered from VARD Brevik in Norway. The vessel is of UT 737 CD design and is capable of providing trenching work, crane work, subsea construction, ROV operations, survey work, IMR work, supply duties etc.


VIDEO: Naming Ceremony for Polar Onyx Held at Ulstein Verft

On Friday 28 February 2014, the offshore construction vessel ‘Polar Onyx’ was named at Ulstein Verft. The vessel is built for GC Rieber Shipping, and is chartered by Ceona for five years for deepwater projects offshore Brazil.


PGS Names Second Ramform Titan-Class Vessel in Japan

The second vessel in the Ramform Titan class, the Ramform Atlas was named this year in Nagasaki, Japan. According to PGS, The Ramform Titan-class is the most powerful and efficient marine seismic acquisition vessel ever and the widest ship in the world at the waterline.


PHOTO: NDURANCE and NDEAVOR Vessels Named in Singapore

oyal Dutch Boskalis held a naming ceremony of two OSD designed multi-functional vessels on 15th of January. The vessels NDURANCE and the NDEAVOR were named at the Keppel shipyard in Singapore.
