OneSubsea's Equipment on Chevron's Jack and St. Malo Fields

OneSubsea, a Cameron and Schlumberger company, supplied the subsea production and processing systems for Chevron’s Jack and St. Malo fields.

Jack and St. Malo fields, located in Gulf of Mexico, achieved first oil last month.

The fields are located within 25 miles (40 km) of each other and are approximately 280 miles (450 km) south of New Orleans, Louisiana in approximately 7,000 feet (2,100 m) water.

The project comprises three subsea centers tied back to a floating hub production facility with a capacity of 170,000 barrels of oil and 42.4 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.

OneSubsea, through one of its predecessors, was awarded the subsea production systems contract in 2010, which included the delivery of twelve 15,000 psi subsea wellhead trees, production controls, four manifolds and associated connection systems, engineering and project management, OneSubsea wrote in a press release.

In 2011, OneSubsea, through another of its predecessor companies, was awarded the subsea processing systems contract for three pump stations, three subsea pump control modules and associated control and instrumentation equipment.

OneSubsea Chief Executive Officer Mike Garding said, “On behalf of OneSubsea, I’d like to congratulate Chevron on achieving this major milestone. We worked in close collaboration with Chevron to supply state-of-the-art subsea production and processing equipment to help Chevron achieve its goals for the Jack and St. Malo fields. We look forward to our continued work with Chevron over the full life of this field.”
