DOF Hires 'Polar King'

GC Rieber Shipping has scored a charter deal with DOF Subsea Norway for one of its subsea vessels.

The 111 meters long CSV Polar King will start its work for DOF in April, for a fixed period of 100 days.

According to GC Rieber, DOF has the option to extend the charter contract for five additional months.

The multipurpose subsea vessel was previously hired by Technoocean Subsea ater its delivery in 2011 from Freire Shipyard in Spain.

The vessel has been undergoing upgrades at Noryards BMV since its return from Technocean in February this year.

The vessel is equipped with a 150 ton AHC offshore crane, has a 960 square meters of deck space and can accommodate 112 persons.
