Interwell’s Aberdeen Test Facility Open for Hire

Well intervention specialist, Interwell, is opening its test facility for hire in Aberdeen for companies to fulfil their testing requirements.

The facility, with six hydrostatic test lines and two gas test lines, can primarily test downhole tools to ISO14310 validation grades, with maximum pressure and temperature testing capabilities of 20,000psi and 200°C. It can be also used for custom pre-installs and testing.

According to the company, the test pit is 15.5m long x 1.8m wide and is 1.8m below ground level, with a 5 tonne overhead crane. A Ram for tension and compression loads up to 341 tonnes is also available, as well as a steam cleaning facility, and a well-equipped workshop area which can be used in preparation for and during testing.

Interwell’s testing facility was built in 2013 and to date, over 75 tests have been carried out.
