Motive Offshore Boosts Management

Steven Simpson

A North-east marine equipment specialist, Motive Offshore Group, has strengthened its management team, appointing Steven Simpson as sales manager who will be primarily based at the firm’s Aberdeen sales office.

Simpson brings more than 10 years of experience to the role, previously holding a number of business development positions within the oil and gas industry. He will be focused on developing key accounts with existing and potential clients, and implementing strategic sales plans to drive and expand the business in the home market and internationally.

Chief executive officer of Motive Offshore Group, James Gregg, said: “Steven has a wealth of experience and knowledge of the industry, bringing a strong skillset that will help to lift Motive Offshore to the next level. His strong people skills will be invaluable as we continue to cultivate customer relationships and look to capitalise on new opportunities in the future. He will also be able to lead the sales team, with strong commercial and technical expertise that will complement our offerings.”

EEMUA subsea engineering course: materials selection and corrosion control

This two and a half day training course is recommended for both discipline and project focused engineers from a variety of backgrounds who want to gain an understanding of the fundamental principles for selecting and specifying materials of construction for subsea equipment, and for corrosion control during deployment, commission and operation. The course is based on the EEMUA User Guide to subsea materials selection and corrosion control, EEMUA Publication 194.

It is operated in association with the Society for Underwater Technology (SUT). Permanent employees of EEMUA and SUT member companies are entitled to a 20% discount off the standard course fee.
