Apache Orders Subsea Distribution Units from SEA

SEA, a Cohort plc company, has been awarded a contract to supply subsea distribution units to Apache North Sea Ltd.

Under the contract, its subsidiary J+S will provide Subsea Distribution Units and associated equipment and services for Apache’s Ness Nevis project.

Apache is undertaking a development program to upgrade the subsea controls architecture in preparation for new wells at the Beryl Field area. These Subsea Distribution Units will provide the power, communications, and hydraulics infrastructure for the well developments.

Steve Hill, Managing Director of SEA, said: “We are delighted that J+S has received this significant contract award from Apache. J+S Oil & Gas business offers an alternative engineering and operational support model for subsea assets, which aligns with the thinking needed to face the current industry commercial and performance challenges.

“The acquisition of J+S by SEA will provide greater support for the Oil and Gas business. In particular this will include the ability to access a much wider engineering spread of skills and capabilities.”
