Cathie Associates Secures Contract for Race Bank OWF

Following the contract signing at EWEA Offshore Wind Conference in Copenhagen between DONG Energy and Jan De Nul Group for the installation of the Race Bank OWF export cable, Cathie Associates announce their engagement in the project.

Cathie Associates will be providing geoscience and geotechnical engineering consultancy to Jan De Nul Group for the installation of the export cable, the company informed.

Robin Comrie, UK Director, welcomed the news: “Export cabling is a critical and sensitive asset in offshore wind developments and their reliable operation is of paramount importance in securing projected revenues. The decades of experience available within Cathie Associates, in conjunction with bespoke application of the recent Carbon Trust Cable Burial Risk Assessment guidance which we co-authored, will ensure constructible routing and burial requirements with a resulting managed risk profile for the cables.”
