Seatronics Makes Management Promotions

Seatronics Ltd, an Acteon company and part of its survey, monitoring and data business, has promoted Phil Middleton from deputy managing director to group managing director.

Middleton will be responsible for managing and developing Seatronics’ global business with a particular focus on long-term growth, strategy and compliance.

Middleton said, “I am looking forward to working closely with senior management to continually develop and improve the people, processes, equipment and facilities under our global business. My goal is to cultivate and implement business plans that will maximise stability and long-term growth for Seatronics, worldwide.”

Mark Docherty, vice president, Acteon, said, “Phil has been with Seatronics for 12 years and he is the perfect candidate to work alongside our regional vice presidents in leading, motivating and developing our global team to keep delivering high quality service in line with client expectations.”

Middleton holds an honours degree in electronic and electrical engineering from Robert Gordon University, and began his career with Scientific Drilling Controls before expanding into survey industry roles. He joined Seatronics in 2003 as an internal sales engineer, progressing through the ranks to deputy managing director. With 21 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and 19 years in the rental market, Middleton has significant expertise in engineering, operations, commercial and business development.
