2H Hosts Riser and Conductor Engineering Seminar
2H Offshore recently conducted a technical seminar for the offshore oil and gas industry in Aberdeen on riser and conductor engineering.
The event was attended by 46 participants from 20 organisations including operators, drilling management companies and service providers.
The seminar was held at the Hilton Treetops hotel and covered four key topics aiming to give the audience a better understanding of riser and conductor engineering, best practices, new developments, current trends, challenges and issues, the company noted. Presentations included:
- An Overview of Riser and Conductor Engineering;
- Fatigue During Drilling and Completion Operations;
- Platform Conductor Integrity for Design Life and Beyond;
- Integrity Management and Life Extension of Flexible Risers.
The topics were selected to be of interest for engineers in variety of roles such as completions, drilling, and those with responsibility for both fixed and floating production facilities. The event provided participants with an interactive forum to share key learnings.
