WATCH: Normand Vision Gears for Troll B Gig

The following video shows a Norwegian subsea contractor, Ocean Installer, mobilising its vessel Normand Vision for riser replacement job at the Troll B platform June 2015.

In March this year, Ocean Installer signed amendments with Statoil for umbilical marine installation at the Visund field and for riser replacement at the Troll B field. The work will be executed under the SLMP Marine Installation Contract.

According to Ocean Installer, the work scope at the Troll B field includes subsea disconnection and removal of existing riser, installation and subsea tie-in of new riser and transport and offload of existing riser at the Stord Base.

Normand Vision is a DP3 class vessel of VARD 3 06 L design and was built by VARD, Norway.

The vessel is built for SURF (Subsea structures, Umbilicals, Risers, Flowlines) operations, equipped with a 3000t carousel, a 150t Vertical Lay Spread System (VLS), a 400t Active Heave Compensated (AHC) crane and launch system for Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs).

Normand Vision is on a long-term charter from Solstad Offshore. The charter party has a firm duration of 8 years +2 year options and started in Q2 2014.
