MCG Buys Polaris’ U.S. East Coast 2D Seismic Library

MCG Buys Polaris' U.S. East Coast 2D Seismic Library

MultiClient Geophysical ASA (MCG) has entered into an agreement with Polaris E&E Services to acquire its Post Stack Reprocessed Atlantic Margin seismic 2D data.

According to the company’s Oslo Stock Exchange filing, MCG will pay Polaris for this transaction through revenue share of futures sales.

The Atlantic Margin data consists of 166,000 km of reprocessed “open file” vintage 2D seismic data, covering the whole East Coast margin of U.S., from Canada to South of Florida.

“We are pleased to announce that we can add this seismic 2D data base to our existing library. The data will also enable MCG to be in a better position to identify new areas for potential future seismic projects along the East Coast of US,” stated Tom Wolden, CEO, MCG.
