Oceaneering Makes New Management Changes

Oceaneering, a global oilfield provider of engineered services and products, announced a couple of appointments and promotions to its management team.

Oceaneering announced the promotion of Eric A. Silva to Senior Vice President, Operations Support.

Silva joined Oceaneering in February 2014 as Vice President and Chief Information Officer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.

As Senior Vice President, Operations Support, Silva will continue his role in Information Technology and assume additional responsibility for Human Resources, Supply Chain Management, and Internal Audit.

Silva is replacing Alan R. Curtis, who has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

In his new role as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Alan R. Curtis, in addition to finance, tax, and accounting functions, will also be responsible for the oversight of Oceaneering’s investor relations activities, corporate development, risk management policies, and facilities management.

Curtis joined Oceaneering in 1995 as a Financial Controller and since December 2014 has served as Senior Vice President, Operations Support. He is a graduate of Texas A&I University with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas, and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.

Furthermore, the company promoted Clyde Hewlett to Chief Operating Officer. He will have expanded responsibility for managing all of Oceaneering’s oilfield business.

Hewlett joined Oceaneering in 1988 as a Project Manager and has held progressively more responsible roles, most recently as Senior Vice President, Subsea Services.

He is a graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
