Marine Data Consultants (MDC) from Cape Town in South Africa has ordered a new addition to the SeaBat T-series, the SeaBat T50-P multibeam echosounder system.

Teledyne RESON secured this deal following a demonstration at the 7th International Shallow Survey 2015 Conference held in Plymouth UK.

Gordon Rigg, Managing Director of MDC, said: “As independent consultants, I’m hugely excited to introduce the new SeaBat system to our clients. The SeaBat data quality has proven to be exceptional, whilst combined with the ruggedised portable processor unit we look forward to commencing survey operations.”

John Fraser from Teledyne RESON, commented: “Following extensive product development and lengthy product verification, we were proud to show the new SeaBat T50-P to clients at the conference. Mr Rigg is an experienced and knowledgeable multibeam user, and we look forward to supporting his operations with this new generation SeaBat system.”

The SeaBat T50-P will be officially launched at the Teledyne Marine Technology Workshop in San Diego, October 4-7.
