Liquid Robotics Expands Strategic Advisory Board

Liquid Robotics announced the addition of three former diplomatic and U.S. Defense leaders to the Company’s Strategy Advisory Board (SAB).

The new members include:

– John J. Young, former Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics), and Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Research, Development and Acquisition);

– Robert Gelbard, career diplomat and former Ambassador to Indonesia, East Timor and Bolivia, Assistant Secretary of State and Presidential Representative for the Balkans;

– Millard Firebaugh, Rear Admiral, U.S. Navy (Ret.), former Deputy Commander for Engineering and Chief Engineer of NAVSEA.

We are honored to have John Young, Robert Gelbard, and Millard Firebaugh join our SAB,” said Gary Gysin, President and CEO of Liquid Robotics. “Their expertise will be invaluable as we continue to build the sensor network for the ocean critical to addressing the escalating ocean-related challenges facing businesses and governments worldwide.”

With the addition of three new members, Liquid Robotics’ SAB is now comprised of 18 experts from the commercial, defense, science, and high-tech industries. Established in the Fall of 2011, the SAB serves as an advisory role to the executive management team by providing insights into a broad array of organizational, governmental, and technology trends, the company explained.

“Now that Liquid Robotics Wave Gliders have a solid footprint around the globe, I am extremely pleased that Ambassador Robert Gelbard, Rear Admiral Millard Firebaugh, and the Honorable John J. Young have joined the Strategic Advisory Board where their distinguished credentials will help the Company continue its rapid growth into new and challenging markets,” said Dr. Marv Langston, Chairman, Liquid Robotics’ Strategic Advisory Board and former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Navy for C4I.
