Heerema Gears for Alba B3 Jacket Sail Away

Heerema Fabrication Group informed that preparations are being made for the sail away of the Alba B3 jacket to Equatorial Guinea for Marathon Oil’s Alba field third gas compression platform.

Heerema is the main EPCI contractor for the 6,000-ton Alba B3 compression platform.

The 1500-tons jacket has been loaded onto the seagoing barge after the topside arrived Sunday morning, October 25 at the Vlissingen yard for the platform crane setup.

According to Heerema, the 4-legged jacket with a length of 33 meters, a width of 33 meters and a height of 81 meters is scheduled to leave the yard at the end of this month.
