GAS Completes ROV Survey on Absheron Field
Azerbaijani branch of GAS has completed an ROV visual inspection of wellhead in the Absheron field.
The company secured the contract from the field’s operator, Total, in October this year.
The Absheron field was discovered in 2011, and it is located in the southern Caspian Sea at the water depth of 500 meters.
GAS carried out the ROV inspection using Ageotec’s Perseo GTV ROV.
“Operation success confirms once again the strong role of GAS as one of the main survey contractor in the Caspian Sea area,” the company stated.
GAS has previously provided services for Total’s Absheron field including the Offshore Geophysical surveys and AUV survey.
