IMR Seeks Winch Supplier for G.O. Sars Research Vessel

The Norwegian Institute of Marine Research (IMR) based in Bergen has invited tenders for the supply of winches for its research support vessel.

The contract is for the procurement of two winches for the research vessel ‘G.O. Sars’.

IMR’s G.O. Sars is a marine research vessel capable to perform various tasks, including pelagic and bottom trawling, plankton sampling, CTD/rosette operations, towed body operations, hydrographic operations, water sampling, miscellaneous kinds of environmental sampling, grabbing and coring, hydro-acoustic research work and seismic operations.

The value of the contract that IMR is awarding for the equipment package is NOK 3 million.

The deadline for the submission of tenders is January 25, 2016, with Norwegian chosen as the official language.
