As part of the focus on the renewable and marine cable sectors, MMT have signed an extension of the charter agreement for M/V Stril Explorer.

MMT took the vessel on charter in 2014 from Simon Mökster Shipping, on a period of two years. In today’s announcement, the company did not disclose the time period of the charter extension.

The Stril Explorer is being jointly used by Reach Subsea and MMT, along with the Edda Fonn.

The cooperation with Reach Subsea and the use of Edda Fonn as shared assets will continue in order to secure opportunities in the oil and gas sector, MMT said.

Ellen Svestad, CCO, MMT, commented on the extension: “Successful projects carried out by Stril Explorer with positive feedback from our clients made this selection of vessel beneficial and effective, and we are pleased to have secured it for the next projects in our portfolio.”
