Allspeeds Supplies Webtool for Shah Deniz 2

Allspeeds has been awarded a contract to supply Webtool emergency disconnection tools for well intervention and workover in the Shah Deniz 2 field in the Caspian Sea.

Webtool enables rapid cutting of umbilical multiple fluid transfer jumpers, electrical lines and tension wire, in the event of an emergency disconnect subsea, the company explained.

Shah Deniz Stage 2 is one of the largest gas developments in the world, located 70 kilometers south-east of Baku.

The field development includes drilling of 26 gas production wells and laying 500 kilometers of subsea pipelines, which will connect ten subsea manifolds and the production wells.
