MacArtney Increases Footprint in Germany

MBT GmbH, part of MacArtney Germany, has acquired Bremen based CPU GmbH, provider of equipment for underwater technical systems.

CPU GmbH remains an independent entity with Christoph Reuter carrying on his job as managing director of the company.

The company will relocate to the Innovation and Technology Centre of the University of Bremen and will keep their current name during a transition phase, MacArtney informed.

The Bremen area is a hot spot for marine science and technology in Germany, with major research organisations, shipyards, system integrators and key players in offshore wind energy,” said Torsten Turla, managing director of MBT GmbH, MacArtney Germany. “We expect significant synergy from the acquisition and from having Christoph Reuter being part of the team in Germany.”
