DownUnder GeoSolutions Begins Olympus 3D Processing

DownUnder GeoSolutions’ has started processing of Olympus 3D Reprocessing Project at its Perth facility, Searcher Seismic informed.

The project, in cooperation with Spectrum, comprises the reprocessing of 20 existing 3D datasets through a broadband pre-stack time and depth migration (PSTM and PSDM) workflow.

The project extends from the Rankin platform and covers Jurassic reservoirs in the Angel, Calypso and Legendre formations, with multiple potential sources including the Dingo Claystone and the Muderong Shale.

Rachel Masters, global sales manager for Searcher, said: “Given the low oil price environment and constrained budgets, our supporting clients have recognized the benefits of such a project and we are looking forward to seeing both the results of the processing and future drilling campaigns.”

Full final PSTM products are expected to be available Q2 2017 and PSDM in Q3 2017.
