EDS Group Gets Rampion Cable Termination Work

EDS Group has been chosen to complete cable termination and jointing work at Rampion offshore wind farm.

The site which is based off the Sussex coast in the UK will feature 116 turbines, each 3.45 MW in capacity, giving the project a total generating capacity of 400 MW.

Starting in the autumn of 2016, EDS will be responsible for all of the offshore 33 kV cable jointing, termination and testing work on the 116 turbine wind farm, the company informed.

Ken Ritson, group managing director said:

“We really wanted to play a part in this major offshore development, so to be chosen is just fantastic.

“We have a dedicated, highly competent and experienced team and we look forward to getting started and making an important contribution to this project.”
