US oil major Chevron has canceled floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel order for the Rosebank oil and gas project.

Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), who in April 2013 secured the contract for the design verification, detailed design and full engineering, procurement and construction of the FPSO, informed that it has received a termination notice from Chevron.

Nord Stream 2 AG and Allseas have signed a letter of intent covering the offshore pipelay capacities for the Nord Stream 2 Pipeline through the Baltic Sea.

The Letter of Intent ensures that Allseas will undertake offshore pipelay works for the first line and also provides the option to book capacities from Allseas for the second line up to the end of the first quarter of 2017.

DeepOcean has secured a contract from Statoil for survey and light construction services in 2017.

Offshore work will be undertaken in 2017 with a vessel from DeepOcean’s in-house fleet and survey ROV ‘Superior’.

The Superior carried out its first commercial project for Statoil in 2016 under the same framework agreement as the recent award.

Saipem has been awarded a new contract in the UK sector of the North Sea, for the decommissioning of the topsides and jacket of BP’s Miller Platform.

The EPRD contract will see the Italian oilfield services player utilise its semisubmersible crane and pipelaying vessel Saipem 7000.

The Saipem 7000 has the capacity for pipelaying in water depths greater than 2,000 meters.

EnerMech has secured its first contract in the Australian oil and gas market from Subsea 7.

The company will perform a range of subsea flowline and umbilical pre-commissioning on the Woodside-operated North West Shelf (NWS) Project’s Persephone project and North Rankin Complex in Western Australia.
