Deep Ocean Engineering Unveils Its New Inspection ROV

California-based ROV and USV manufacturer, Deep Ocean Engineering, has introduced the latest addition to its Phantom series of remotely operated vehicles, the Phantom L6.

The Phantom L6 is the company’s entry into the 500-meter inspection-class ROV arena.

The ROV has been developed for uses such as infrastructure inspections: bridges, tunnels, pipelines, ships; hydroelectric system monitoring: power plants, dams, reservoirs; homeland security and exploration oil and gas, salvage, search and recovery.

The standard Phantom L6 platform comes equipped with active roll stabilization and heading gyro stabilization allowing the pilot to control with precision, and with an open-frame architecture for easier mechanical integration.
