Dril-Quip Appoints New VP and CFO

Dril-Quip has appointed Jeffrey J. Bird as vice president and chief financial officer, effective March 13, 2017.

Bird will succeed Jerry M. Brooks, who has accepted the newly created position of vice president of investor relations, effective March 13, 2017.

Bird, age 50, served as executive VP and CFO of Frank’s International, a provider of engineered tubular services to the oil and gas industry, from December 2014 through February 2017.

Blake DeBerry, Dril-Quip’s president and chief executive officer, said: “We are very pleased to have someone with Jeff’s finance and accounting expertise and industry experience assume the role of chief financial officer. Jeff is an ideal fit for our management team, and we believe he will be a great addition to our company.”

“Jerry has made significant contributions to Dril-Quip during his 25 years with the company. We are grateful for Jerry’s steady leadership during his long career with Dril-Quip and his willingness to stay on in his new position to assist with the transition.”
