COSL in Gabon Survey
A seismic vessel HAI YANG SHI YOU 720 (HYSY 720) is close to wrapping up a survey offshore Gabon, China Oilfield Services Limited (COSL) said on Wednesday.
According to the company, the data acquisition is scheduled to be completed in early April this year.
The the contract for the next campaign is already in negotiation with undisclosed clients.
The 12-streamer 107.4 meters long seismic vessel was built in china in 2010.
Prior to this survey, HYSY 720 carried out a 100-day operation in the North Pole Barents Sea in China’s first attempt in performing 3D seismic data collection in ultra-high latitude and ultra-low-temperature waters.
