NDE Offshore Scoops Bard Offshore 1 Gig

NDE Offshore, a Sweden-based provider of offshore services, has been recently awarded a two-year inspection, repair and maintenance contract with Ocean Breeze Energy.

The service contract includes inspections, maintenance and installation activities as well as ICCP works at the Bard Offshore 1 wind farm in Germany. The project started in mid May this year.

NDE Offshore will continue the combined topside and subsea operation using the vessel Ocean Zephyr, equipped with a Walk-to-Work system and ROV. The campaign will comprise of topside inspection, service and installation as well as underwater inspections of the transition pieces. The installation scope, is carried out from a second vessel, Glomar Wave.

David Malmberg, sales and marketing manager at NDE Offshore, says: “This contract demonstrates the strong partnership we have developed with Ocean Breeze over the past years. We are very much looking forward to the continued cooperation.”

Bard Offshore 1 is located 100 kilometers northwest of Borkum and comprises 80 wind turbines with a total capacity of 400MW.
