Workships Contractor Sells Diving Support Vessel to Seisund

Workships Contractor has sold four-point mooring diving support vessel (DSV) ‘Offshore Beaver’ to Seisund of Torangsvag, Norway.

The vessel will transfer from its normal role of diving support to working in the Norwegian aquaculture industry.

Edvard Bakke of Seisund said: “With regulatory changes coming into the farmed salmon industry, we were looking for a suitable vessel to allow us to respond to the changes and maintain our leading position in the industry.

“The vessel will be renamed ‘Seisund’ and will join the eight other vessels in our fleet.”

The Offshore Beaver has a 32 pax accommodation capacity, 25t crane, salvage winches and 4-point mooring system, which makes it capable of laying its own anchor pattern, providing oil spill response solutions, acting as mother ship for operations involving daughter crafts and providing craning services offshore.
